Possibly not everyone’s dream, but for Peter Laschut he saw it as a practical way to be creative. Working with tiling companies on the Gold Coast, Peter took a leap of faith in his tiling abilities and started his own business. A prominent Gold Coast builder aware of Peter’s talents and creative instincts engaged with him to tile his 5000 square metre mansion on Sovereign Islands. 9 metre columns in crazy sandstone at the front of the house was just one of the features that Peter completed in that prestigious home. His quality of work resulted in other home owners engaging Peter to do tiling jobs in their homes, apartments, motels and offices. With a growing family Peter decided it was time to leave the Gold Coast hustle and moved to Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast in 2006. Since then Peter has done residential and commercial work in Yeppoon, Emu Park, Rockhampton, Gracemere and other Central Queensland towns and properties. Peter still takes tremendous pride in his finished work and looks forward to consulting, designing, then creating customised tiling jobs that feature is his signature of quality and innovative thinking. Tiling is not a job for Peter, it is a passion.
